45,000 miles 900 car hours Planning for tomorrow Growing services CMH is committed to bringing necessary and appropriate services to our community through construction and expansion. Over the past several years, CMH: Saving time and money One major expansion in 2017 was the construction and opening of the 19,000-square-foot CMH–OHSU Knight Cancer Collaborative, which brought radiation treatment to the region. Since the Cancer Collaborative opened in October 2017, radiation therapy treatments provided locally have grown from zero to about 375 a month. Patients no longer have to drive to Longview or Portland for treatments—saving more than $36,000 a month in wear and tear on their car, time driving and gas. Planning for the future Through smart growth and community cooperation, CMH has become Oregon’s fastest-growing rural health system. By Randy McClelland, Director of Strategic Initiatives Since 2009, CMH has seen tremendous growth for the benefit of our community and our patients.
