During this appointment, you will speak with the pre-admission testing nurse to: • Review your medications, health history and current medical conditions. • Discuss potential risks based on your medical health and make recommendations on how to physically prepare before your surgery (for example, if you will need to change your diet). • Make recommendations on any medications that you take regularly. • Instruct you on infection prevention techniques. • Determine, based on your medical health and type of surgery, if you will need final blood work or any tests such as X-rays, an EKG or other diagnostics. • Assist or make any necessary arrangements for you prior to your surgery.
